About

JTN helps level the playing field to ensure the long-term viability and ongoing profitability of existing projects.

Over the last 15 years, JTN Energy’s Managing Director Todd Thorner originated and led the development of over $500 million of operating utility-scale wind and solar PV projects in the Western US. For all these projects (developed for predecessor companies), Mr. Thorner also secured the long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) which were key to financing and building these assets.

With the founding of JTN Energy in 2014, Mr. Thorner shifted his focus from developing new, large renewable projects to supporting to the owners of existing, often small renewable projects. JTN leverages Mr. Thorner’s development experience and his extensive network of professional experts and consultants for the benefit of owners of such projects.

In an increasingly complex regulatory and commercial environment, JTN helps level the playing field to ensure the long-term viability and ongoing profitability of existing projects. This class of project is often owned by smaller local operators or by larger operators with limited business presence in California. Several very large national and international companies have found JTN to be an ideal partner and force multiplier in the effective management of their California assets.
